My name is Tim Margheim, and I am a 27 year-old living in Austin, TX. I work for an artificial intelligence software company. (I teach the computer to diagram sentences.) I’m a science nerd, a scifi geek, a coffee shop enthusiast, an occasional Lindy-Hopper, and a professing Christian hoping to take that seriously–to walk by the Spirit as a genuine follower of Christ. To be a doer, and not a hearer only–but to hear well, absorbing the wisdom & theology of the Scriptures. To be transformed by the renewing of my mind, so that I will understand the will of God.
FYI, when I post in comment sections of other blogs, I typically use the name “Jugulum”.
About the Blog
The name of this blog is a reference to 1 Corinthians 13:12, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”
The purpose of my writing is to know and to show God better, in whatever ways I can. It is to share what I learn, to organize my thoughts, to provide resources, to summarize what I study, and to offer up my own best efforts at understanding God, His word, and the world.
We see God dimly. There are inherent limits to our understanding. But God has also revealed Himself to us, in part. I want to know and to show Him more clearly, to see more clearly the light of who He is, and to be transformed to reflect that light more brightly. I want to reach the end, and to hear the Father say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
